Art & Judy Housley decided to start Ranch Market Napa in January 1976 with the vision to provide a community market in North Napa. Houses sprung up around the store and our regular customers continued to support the business. In July 1977 the Housley's opened the Yountville store with friends Norm and Sue Bowers. Many asked "why would you want to buy in Yountville?" The town of Yountville was formerly a much different place than it currently is. In the mid 1980's Art & Judy bought full interest in the store and renovated the location to its current size, adding the deli. April 1996, Arik Housley graduated from Pepperdine University and returned to the valley to take over the family businesses. In 2008, the deli portion of the Yountville store was sold to Lewis and Jacqueline Chilton and they renamed it Yountville Deli (soon to be Velo Deli). In 2017 Arik & Hannah Housley purchased full interest of the Yountville location. From the beginning, we serve and support our community. As a family and businesses we have and continue to support youth sports and community organizations. During natural disasters, we continue to stay open to help our neighbors in need. We look to provide our customers with a selection ranging from local coffee beans to Folgers, produce to paper products, olive oil to pennzoil, frozen food to specialty cheese.
