In 2016 a group of soccer-loving individuals came together to form a semi-professional soccer team, named Napa Valley 1839 F.C., as part of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL). Our intention was to pay homage to the man who started it all in 1839, George C. Yount. George C. Yount planted the first grapes in the Napa Valley. What better way to remember such historic significance in the Napa Valley by wearing the 1839 on our team crest.

The mission of Napa Valley 1839 FC is to provide a family fun evening entertainment which is soccer centric. Thanks to the support of our partners, we continue to nurture our players, experience new cities and teams, elevate the pre-game and game experience, and bring this global sport to our diverse Napa Valley community and the thousands who come to visit.
