based in NY I needed a car service (short notice) in San Francisco. Called a few companies, nobody got back to me. I finally found Five Emerald Limousine and their representative Tina had everything set up and confirmed in less than 10 minutes. Great Customer Service - I have them now in my contacts for any future business in San Francisco. Thank you Tina!

We got a couple sedans from them for our wedding. Very easy to book online. Unfortunately, it's very pricey be picked up inside of the airport as opposed to the curb. I was arranging a ride for my father and wanted to make it easy for him, but couldn't justify the cost of having the driver meet him inside with a sign. Meeting at the curb, however, was a bit stressful and confusing for me since I wasn't there to help him.

Had an amazing experience with Luiz! They upgraded us to an SUV. It was lovely. Luiz even brought my purse back 30 minutes later after the trip had ended when I left it in there. Very kind.

Excellent service from start to finish. Great customer service with scheduling itinerary and giving reminders and arrival updates on day of event. Driver was amazing and added to the experience. I highly recommend this company.

I've gone back and forth on posting this for over a year. However looking back at my experience I can't help but be upset by the way it was handled.

In October 2021 I took a ride with Five Emerald Limousine with my family. The day started off fine, but ended terribly.

We left our last spot of the day around 3pm, providing a specific address for our final destination. After a few minutes we noticed we were going the wrong way and brought this up to our driver. He told us he was following the GPS and that it was the right way. A few minutes later we were no longer on a road, but on loose gravel path. At this time we asked to turn around. Our driver agreed, stating he was going to pull up a little more and then turn around.

Our driver decided to turn around on a long grass hill (just past a loose gravel turnaround). The limo got stuck and at that time we got out of the limo because it felt dangerous. It was a good thing we did become as the driver was trying to reverse the limo, the grass underneath the limo caught on fire. We had noticed a fire extinguisher in the car on our ride up, so we went to get it to put the fire out, but the doors to the limo were locked. We banged on the windows profusely for what felt like minutes. The driver finally unlocked the doors, we put the fire out and then the driver came out of the limo discombobulated and in a haze from the fumes.


A few key takeaways from this experience...
1. SAFETY. We truly could have been seriously injured if we had not insisted on getting out of the limo while the driver turned around on a hill (I can't help but think about the unfortunate events of when people have died inside limos with locked doors when fires have taken place ).

2. CUSTOMER SERVICE. As the sun was starting to go down and we were waiting for another car that the driver told us was coming (which never came). I called the limo service phone number provided just to ensure they were aware of what was going on and that another car was truly on it's way. I was faced with attitude and dismissal. It wasn't until I advocated for myself and informed him that the winery we were at in Saint Helena had called the Fire Department and CHP to look into this matter because no car should have been where we were AND that the winery we had visited us felt terrible for us that went ABOVE AND BEYOND to ensure we had ride since we were stranded. It wasn't until that that the individual from Five Emerald Limo said a manager would be calling me.

3. FOLLOW THROUGH. I was offered a free ride (see attachment text message). When I initially received this offer, I wasn't comfortable taking it because I wasn't comfortable getting in another Five Emerald Limo. However, after some time I thought I would give it another shot, sometimes people and companies deserve a second chance. Unfortunately when I reached back out on this offer, the fine print (that wasn't included in this text message) was shared and I was informed that the free ride would only be to the Airport (10 minutes away) and that it would not be the same free ride I had initially taken (bay area to Saint Helena). The manager went back on her word and to me after a situation like this, that is unacceptable.

Quoted $768 from San Francisco Airport to Hotel on Mason in San Francisco! I lived in SF for 20 years. That is a 25 minute trip. Ridiculous!
Why not be honest & just say no service to city.

Our experience was great! The limo picked half of us up in Oakland and the other half in San Francisco for a ride to Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara for the Taylor Swift show in July 2023. We were expecting some traffic mayhem due to the nature of the show, but everything went so smoothly! Jose, our driver, arrived early and was so friendly and accommodating. The vehicle was an 8 person limousine with glasses, ice, and champagne, and plenty of room for our drinks and snacks. We connected to Bluetooth and off we went! Jose handled traffic beautifully and our dropoff was smooth. After the show, he was in constant touch, and we found him with no problem for the ride home, two stops again (SF & Oakland). Everyone got home safe & sound, and now I'm considering booking more concert tickets just so Five Emerald can drive me there!
Also, communicated via email with Tina multiple times, super quick & informative response every time!

Easy to use service, reliable, on time, professional, etc. etc. I recommend and would use them again. They are not cheap though.

We recently went on a trip to Hawaii and used Five Emerald ride service to get a ride to and from the airport.
The person who helped set it up over the phone was very friendly and professional.
And both of the drivers were very prompt, professional, and friendly.
I will definitely use them again.
